Renascent says goodbye to Sabrina McCurbin

Sabrina McCurbin at the Lillian and Don Wright Family Centre, 2011

Sabrina joined Renascent as a family counsellor in June of 2010. On May 25, 2012 she will be leaving Renascent to accept a new opportunity. During her term at Renascent, Sabrina drew on her training and family experiences to help others who have been impacted by addiction. She became the first person in her area of expertise to earn the designation of Canadian Contingent Alcohol and Drug Counsellor (CCADC).

Sabrina believes that reaching the family member who has been impacted is critical in breaking the destructive family cycle of addiction.

“I will miss the people and my colleagues the most,” said Sabrina. “Having the opportunity to help families come together and improve their quality of life has been a life changing experience I will never forget.”

Sabrina will have a lasting impact on Renascent and the families that have been fortunate enough to work with her throughout their recovery. Renascent wishes Sabrina all the best in her future endeavors.
